"Black Sails" takes us back to the Golden Age of Piracy in 1715, mixing real-life pirates such as Charles Vane with fictional characters like Captain Flint and John Silver. Starz will premiere the show's eight-episode first season at 8 p.m. Jan. 25 and already has renewed it for a 10-episode second season. Here's a chance to get acquainted with the pirates, thieves, fortune seekers and, yes, prostitutes on the criminal haven of New Providence Island.
