Starz will take viewers to an England before the events in Showtime's "The Tudors" with its 10-part limited series, "The White Queen," which debuts at 7 p.m. CT Aug. 10. Adapted from Philippa Gregory's best-selling "The Cousins' War" novels of which "The White Queen" is the first, the series opens in 1464 when two sides of the same family--The House of York and The House of Lancaster--were fighting to rule the country. Henry Tudor, who would become King Henry VI, is just a young lad at the time. This photo gallery offers a look at the major players in the conflict.
